While developing this installation, I was reflecting on my Nordic roots, and cultural and family histories, whilst playing with the surreal idea that what if I dreamt those places, and therefore left no traces? I referred to Gaston Bachelard's Poetics of space, in which he talks about analysing traces of homes in memories and dreams.

The video projection through the window is of blurred, slow and heavy snow fall, viewed and recorded from my grandparent's upstairs window.
